IM hoping someone out there can help me with some advice? I've been learning ballroom for nearly two years. My best style is Rumba. When learning Rumba I was taught that weight is always held over the straight leg which causes the beautiful hip movement. However, recently I decided to take on Zouk classes and was told that my weight distribution had to be the opposite for Zouk (weight on bent leg not straight leg). Has anyone made the transition from ballroom to more "street style" latin dancing like Zouk and found this quite difficult?
